In the series ‘The story behind’ we will take a closer look on some sneakers. Not only to appreciate their beauty, but also to learn more about the story behind the sneaker.
We start off with one of the most popular silhouettes these days. Of course, we’re talking about the Jordan 1. And not just a regular Jordan 1: The Jordan 1 High Homage to Home. They released 3 years ago, in 2018. And as you can see in the pictures, this pair isn’t a regular Jordan 1. To honor Chicago, they released a new version of the Air Jordan 1 with the classic Chicago Bulls color scheme. The Homage to Home combines two all-time Jordan 1 favorites in one sneaker. Do you recognize the two different colorways?
OG colorway with a twist
In 1985, the first Air Jordans, known as the Jordan 1 ‘Banned’ and ‘Chicago’, were released. In 2018, they took both OG colorways to create the Homage to Home, to honor Chicago. As you can see on the pictures, the upper split is separating both colorways. On the outside we see the ‘Banned’ colorway, while on the inside we see the ‘Chicago’ colorway.
If you love the Jordan 1 silhouette and you’re into the OG colorways, the Jordan 1 Homage to Home is definitely a must-have for your sneakercollection! What are your thoughts about this pair?
