In 2013, Kanye West officially left Nike. They say Nike would not pay Kanye royalties for his sneaker designs. Kanye West signed a deal with Adidas. Besides more money, Kanye also has full control over the creative process. Adidas and Kanye turned out to be a perfect match.
In 2015, Kanye released his first Yeezy Boost 350. It was the Yeezy Boost 350 ‘Turtle Dove’. The Yeezy craziness was officially born. The Turtle Dove is also known as the most iconic off all the Yeezy 350’s.
The first Yeezy Boost 350 V2 released in 2016. The most popular Yeezy Boost 350 V2 colorway is definitely the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Bred’ colorway.
Now, years later, Kanye still knows how to surprise us with new Yeezy silhouettes. For example, the Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner, officially released in 2017 but re-released this year. Or the Yeezy QNTM, released as Kanye’s first basketball sneaker. And let’s not forget about the Yeezy Slides. Not a sneaker, but definitely a must-have.
