Get to know @nadiaidder

In this ‘Get to know’ series, we will talk with some people in the sneaker community. We want to know the person behind the sneakercollection and learn more about their passion for sneakers. We start off with a woman who you might know because of her perfect color matched feed and clean pictures. Of course, I’m talking about @nadiaidder.

Hi Nadia! We’re happy to have you here. For those who don’t know you, can you please tell us something more about who Nadia Idder is?

I’m Nadia Idder, I’m 27 years old and I was born and raised in Amsterdam. I’m a content creator on Instagram where I focus most on fashion and sneakers, which also happen to be two of my biggest passions. It all started out as a hobby, but it turned out to now being my full-time job and I’m very thankful for that.

On your Instagram feed we see a lot of sneakers. When and how did your passion for sneakers start?

If I think about it, I've always been into sneakers. I remember being a little girl and getting my first pair of Adidas Superstars. I was absolutely obsessed with that pair. Could literally stare at those shoes and be totally content with my life haha. Those were followed by a pair of Dunks. I remember them so well and would love to get that same pair again now. They were white/light grey with a baby pink swoosh. Again, so obsessed with them. Was searching for them on google a while ago, but I can’t seem to find them anymore. Of course, I didn’t start collecting back then because I was still a kid. The shoe that took my love for sneakers to the next level were the Nike Air Max 1 Paris City Collection which came out in 2015.

What’s your holy grail?

If I could only pick 1 it would be the Jordan 1 Off-White Chicago. That’s just a legendary pair in my opinion. Because of the current resell price I’ve given up on them, but I have a full list of grails on my phone which I will hopefully still get in the future!

If you could only wear one pair of sneakers for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why?

That’s so hard!!! I would either go for the Off-White Sails because they just go with anything. But if I think about comfort, I might go for the black Nike Sacai Vaporwaffle. But hopefully it’ll never come to a point where I would only get to wear one pair.
